My DD was still taking naps in kindergarten. No way would that schedule have worked. She's in preteam now (basically level 2) for 4.5 hours per week (2 nights). She's a second grader now, and sometimes it feels like a stretch but mostly because they are scheduled until 8 and nearly always go over.

Our level 2's go 9 hours. They are mostly 7-8 years old. There is a group of kids age 5-6 who go 9 to 12 hours, they are "tracked" for more intensive programs. I can think of at least 3 or4 little girls age 5 and 6 who are doing 12 hours now. I heard these are the kids who are already commited to going to TOPS. They call them the pre-TOPS group. Some are already homeschooling! Two of them are the younger siblings of girls who are already in TOPS and also homeschooled. Yes, our gym does do this, but it is not the norm, it's only for those crazy-talented kids whose parents commit early to TOPS. I think it's too much... but no one's really asking me so to each her own I guess.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
