In teaching our new group of level 3's, I'm reminding them to keep the leg straight, lift the arm from the shoulder, and cut (rather than climb) - however, it was brought to my attention that there may be a deduction for allowing the back of the leg to hit the bar after the cut - is that correct?

So, we would want them to cut fwd w/ lift, leg rests when shifting grips for mill circle, and then lift again for mill circle?

In the book I have it says 'leg/foot contacting bar on cut - up to 0.2'
then 'failure to show clear stride support at beginning and end of circle - each up to 0.2'

so I think you are right. cut forwards without front leg touching bar, drop and shift hands, definitely lift before mill circle.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
