So I was flipping through my JO Routines book and was looking at ages and competitions for 8,9, and 10. obviously, 9 and 10 go all the way thru national...8 to 6-8 regionals....but level 5 said regionals too. Are level 5 gymnasts able to qualify for Regionals this year?

In the past our level 5's have always gone to regionals. And according to the schedule our coach posted for this year, level 5's are going again.

(Not sure if you mean that in the past level 5's didn't go to regionals?)

Not sure if it varies by region, but we are in region 4.

Level 4 do NOT go to Regionals...

Level 5 DO go but must qualify like all other Levels....

I coach region 3 and our level 5s do not go to regionals. Personally I believe it is to shelter everyone from the monster that is Texas.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
