My dd just finished her Level 7 season and is of course hoping for Level 8 next year. She and I were discussing what she has to learn this summer and in discussing her tumbling passes, we came up with a question. They have her training a back full and a front handspring front layout front tuck. Can she have just these two passes or are three passes required? In Level 7 she just had two passes, a back layout and a front handspring front layout and it scored very well.

Your thoughts?!?!

that's all you need. there are no requirements that one must do 3 passes as long as 2 passes fulfill the requirements.

It's common around here for level 8s to have just two passes. You don't need 3, but some coaches like to have 3.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
