:) Thanks you all! There are 2 of them that are really bad about saying things. They are tacky. I do imagine they are saying this kind of stuff to their children as their children are just like the parents. The ring leaders daughter was the 11 year old pushing 5 and 6 year olds off the beam the other night. I am really trying to stay out of it and ignore them. It won't help anyone if I get involved in the behavior that is like this. My thoughts are that reality will hit after this weekend-their first meet. Like I said, hopefully, they will move on to the last gym in the area. There are only 3 in the area. They are now at gym number 2. I will not be sitting by these ladies at any of the meets. I do not want to be associated with them.

So glad our parents aren't like that. And for your sake--hope that one mom moves on to gym #3 soon. She's really teaching her daughter how to behave, isn't she?

update to mean spirited parents

We had a great meet. The mean parents were reminded once to get off the floor and not use flashes. They settled down. Reality hit: bar scores were in the low 6's for these girls. Floor was low 7's and beam was low as well. But most of them did place on vault. :) So there was some good news. Hopefully imporvement will be seen at practice Wednesday night. :) Of course ringleaders child was one of 3 girls and placed in it all. Oh well. Maybe she is on the way to the Olympics. ;) the gymnasts mommy's child did her whole bar routine by herself and scored close to a 9.0! So proud of her!!!!

Our good news-both of my girls did AWESOME! Emma got a 9.00 on bars and her other scores were high 8's. Ellie got a 9.475 on bars and the rest of her scores were high 8's. Both placed-Em second place on bars, and third place on floor=overall 4th. Ellie got a first-bars, 2 seconds, and a third for overall second place. The girls were BEAMING. Oh, each girl got a coaches award. Em for being the most awesome level 3. And Ellie for having the most awesome bar routine. :) So exciting. A great start to the season! The girls overall scores were 35 point something for both girls. :D

Found out that none of the negative mommies will be going to the next out of state meet. YAY! Should be very relaxed and fun!

Glad your girls did so well. Very good scores. Sometimes you just have to forget about the meanies and figure that in time what goes around comes around.:p

So glad your girls had their chance to shine. Funny how meets really open up a few eyes! Perhaps the mean moms will smarten up.

Thank you so much!!!! :)

Oh, and on a funny note. A coach from an opposing team was really interested in Ellie. She caught his eye when warming up bars. :) He stopped what he was doing and started clapping for her. Then after her coaches spoke to her he called her over and talked with her and gave her a fist bump. After she was scored on bars, he cheered for her and clapped. Then on each event, he was cheering for her and talking to her. She loved it. :) So she was getting her coaches' attention plus another coach's. :) We told her, he was recruiting her! ;) She grinned and said yeah! LOL Silly little six year old! And cocky!

I agree that meets have a tendency to open people's eyes! I am glad your girls did so well. Maybe now that the meanies know what it really takes and what talent is out there, this eye opening experience will gradually cause them to wake up and become nice! We could all use more nice in the gym!

So glad to hear your girls did well! And good for you for beeing the mom with her head firmly planted on her shoulders. To tell you the truth, I actually feel sorry for the girls of the "mean moms". At this age the kids just want to have fun and enjoy themselves. I fear that having moms like that can turn something enjoyable into something from a nightmare. I wish them well.

Newest UPDATE!!! :)

The ring leader has been asked to find a new gym. :) I don't know what happened, but this was the first practice since the meet due to some bad weather. I was told that she was asked to find a different gym.
Good riddance.

Thats good! too bad for the other gym! I just hope she changes for the sake of her child.

Isn't that a lovely thing to hear. Karma is such a great thing. What goes around always comes around.

Great news about the ring leader and CONGRATS on your girls doing so well in spite of drama. It's such a shame to see parents act like that especially when the kids are so young and only level 4's. It's not the olympics and there are always going to be kids better than yours so you can't compare and stress over it. Some parents think their kids are not good enough because they don't get enough coach attention or somebody cut their child in line for bars or missed they missed their turn at vault at practice one day. The most important thing should be focusing on keeping the kids happy & healthy in the gym. This is a 365 day a year sport...eventually all that negativity some of those parents get involved in ruins their DD's happiness, friends at the gym, and even being allowed in the gym itself. Glad you didn't ahve to wait long for them to be delt with! I feel sorry for the kids though.

So glad that the troublemaker is gone--Karma is a great thing, isn't it!!! Congrats to your girls and I am sure you will now notice a much more calming and positive environment in the gym!!

Just unbelievable. I am glad they parents at our gym aren't like that. We have had the odd "difficult" parent but they had to leave. I give HUGE kudos to our coaches for that decision.

Our coaches asked her to leave. Usually with parents like this, they will be asked to leave. Give them enough rope and it happens. :)

Wow! Glad the HC is serious about not tolerating that kind of behavior.
