Welp, I cant believe it, we have made it to the last L10 season for my dd. She is fortunate enough that she will be competing in college, but bringing the DP journey to a close seems like such milestone. Given that we still have several months before the final ride starts, I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas/experiences/etc about memorializing their DDs senior season? Idk, other than taking a crap-ton of pictures (which I kinda already do lol). Maybe just scrapbooking it? Our gym isnt big on senior recognitions, of course signing day, but they dont have a special senior leo or shirt or anything like that. Ideas appreciated, maybe it really is just scrapbooking, but do I get like trinkets from all the final meets? etc. Thanks!

We are right there with you! So wild to think that this part of it is coming to and end after having done it for so many years! I keep telling my daughter that is hard to comprehend that she made it to the goal of not only making it to her senior season, but also to compete for a D1 college! Our gym does a "special" out of state meet for only the level 10's that is picked by the seniors. They all stay together in an air bnb and do lots of fun things together. Now as a parent, not sure how to memorialize the final ride as a club gymnast with so many other things going on, like their final homecoming, prom etc. Looking forward to seeing what others are doing too!

our state and region did some special senior recognition. We really didn't get to attend meets his senior season, so not a lot we could do.

I think scrapbook/shadow box is a fun idea. maybe have teammates all sign something for her with good luck wishes for college?

For my son's college senior night, we had big posters made of each of them. They also did a video montage for each gymnast.

Congrats on this milestone! It's a big one! Enjoy the next 4 years...they FLY by!

1 - Senior Banner hung in the gym - at our gym, the photographer is told who is a senior and is supposed to make a banner (paid for by HC), but this year ... even though they were wearing their SENIOR LEOTARDS and were checked in as SENIORS, the photographer "forgot" to take the special pics for the banners ... and didn't even have an option for parents to buy a banner online.

Luckily, at the YMCA district meet, the host gym had senior banners made for the seniors on all the teams. That one was hung in the gym until after Y Nationals.
LSS also had 2 banners made from her senior pics (Gymnastics and Dance), and her high school had a banner made for Track. She hung all 4 of them at her graduation party.
Then, she also got a banner from Y Nationals, but it was her high school yearbook picture ... and she didn't get it until a month after her graduation party.

Our gym didn't attend Y Regionls this year, or she would have had another recognition and banner from there, lol.

2 - Senior Poster for any "senior" home meet. We didn't have a home meet this year, so LSS displayed her poster at the District Meet (with prior approval. It had pics from her entire gymnastics career, and a couple of special medals/ribbons.

3 - Senior Sash ... LSS got a senior sash at a small (2 teams) meet hosted by the same team that hosted Districts, but in December. She and all the other seniors from both teams got a senior sash to wear during March-in. LSS wore hers for the march-in at the rest of the meets during the season. Her District's Banner was a pic of her that first day in the sash taken before March-In.

4 - Floor Music Montage ... didn't do this for LSS, but on 2 occasions, our seniors had floor music made from all of their old musics. They used them as their senior floor music. Another senior one year figured out how to do the same skills to each different music she had used in her career, and she used a different music each meet (but she had to combine all the compulsory musics into one). That was fun!
