Hello folks. I’m new here, my ds is 8 yrs old and a new lvl 5. Jumped up from being on pre-team this past season. Our gym has opened up and I thoroughly enjoy watching him train. Granted it is solely conditioning right now. That being said, he is incredibly strong and gains muscle quickly. Well today he pushed himself further than he has before. This conditioning is no joke! He was hurting the last hour of practice. He had hit muscle failure but was still going, but bless his heart you could tell he was hurting. Is there a post workout something that I can give him or have him do so that it helps his body recover? Or do I just let his body do it’s thing? Thanks for any advice!

Thanks! I will!

I agree fluids are perfect. Chocolate milk is considered a decent post workout drink as well. Warm epsom salt baths, bananas, and lots of water. His body will adjust :)

Thank you! I'm totally out of my element and watching him train was comparable to soldiers training, I'm a vet.
