Men Question about L4 divisions at GA state meet

Last year the GA state meet posted results in Level 4 age 6-7 Jr. and Level 4 age 6-7 Sr.

What did that mean? Did they put all the 6-7 year olds in order by birthday and cut them down the middle? Or does it have to do with how they scored at earlier meets?

They do that where I live also if they have a lot of kids in the same age group. They put them in order by birthday and split them in half. I think this is so more kids can medal.
