Back when I was still competing 8+ years ago a straddle jump sideways on the beam was rated as a C element (if I remember correctly). I've just had a look through the latest code of points, and I can't even see it as a listed skill anymore (only a straddle jump in the cross beam position features)? Maybe I am being blind and missing it, but could someone tell me if it's still a valid skill, and if so, what's its difficulty value? Or has it been omitted?

Thank you! :)

I'm not sure of the value, but I'm pretty sure the new world champion did one in her routine to take the title recently!
Thanks, I've just checked and you're right! Plus someone in the Youtube comments gave a break down of the D-score, assigning the straddle as a C as expected. Just strange I can't find it in the code of points, unless I'm being blind! Thanks again :)

Jumps done sideways get a 0.1 D-score bump from the same jump in cross position. This applies to any jump (eg split/straddle with 1/2 turn from side was very popular before they set new rules on when to hit the split, because it gives C -> D value), so only the original jumps are listed in the COP. (at least in the elite COP, I don't know what it is in DP).

They're also considered the same element, so you can't do both straddle jump and straddle jump from side in a routine and have both be counted.
