Star Struck Invitational

We've been to this meet a few years ago and will return this season. We didn't love it simply because it is not convenient to get to if you are far enough away to need to fly there. I think the best course of action is to fly to Philly with other families, coordinate Uber XLs in advance from the airport to AC, and plan to stay at the Sheraton Convention Center so the meet is right there and you don't need a car.

There is an Atlantic City Airport with Spirit and American Airlines. maybe 100-200 flights a day. Not ideal for direct flights but a decent option.

Our gym goes every year but we are somewhat local.... going to be much larger this year - 4200 gymnasts competing between DP/XCEL/JOGA

We attended this meet for the first time this year. The thought of going to the Jersey Shore in the middle of January didn't sound fun, but my daughter and her teammates had a blast at this meet. It was well run, on time, and organized. With so many restaurants and fun hotels close by (some with indoor waterparks and arcades for afterwards), we were pleasantly surprised to learn that there are actually activities that appeal to younger kids and not just casinos. I'm not sure I'd feel the same way if we had flown to this meet but if you are in the MD/DE/VA/PA/NJ/NY/CT area, this is a great meet to add to the list. It was also a Nastia qualifier.

We ended up staying in the Sheraton that was connected to the Convention Center and found that to be a great option as it was clean, convenient and across the street from a town center with some good shopping options.

My only complain (minor) is that the medals felt like an after thought - for such a large venue and meet the medals felt like something we would get at an in-house meet. I can't say that matters much to us but worth noting.
