What level is a switch leap required?

My dd is doing switch leaps this year so USAG level 5, I believe.

I don't think it is every "required" but I think the first time it can be used is level 5.

It is an "upgrade" in L5.

I don't think it is ever "required" ... however, it is an option for L5-L10, Xcel Silver - Diamond, and Elite

What level is it allowed on beam? (My girl's switch leap on beam is so much prettier than her "regular" leap but apparently a switch isn't an allowable skill in level 6...)

I'm with you on that one! DD looks like she's hopping over a small puddle with her regular leap, but the switch (on the low beam) is gorgeous!

I think you can do it in L5, can't you?

I think you can do it in Level 7 but you can for sure in l8 as one of the allowable 'C' skills.

No, no beam switch leap at L5. But yes, floor switch leap at L5 as an "upgrade" as stated above.
These I know for sure ^^.

I heard that the switch leap is allowed in L7 for B value credit. But this I am not 100% sure about.

Yes... on Beam, they can't do the switch leap until L7.
