the experience of the Surgeon trumps that of everyone else because they see more of these than anyone else.
post op, they fill the knee with a lot of pain killing drugs which is why you felt good. don't take advantage of that. the reason for doing this is so that your brain doesn't get any signals from the knee that it is in pain/distress. when the brain gets those signals, the brain starts making the body produce things to go help the knee out. but in fact, these things actually make the healing of the knee take longer and may cause to much inflammation. inflammation is necessary for healing. but to much delays the healing process. so, just because you don't feel any pain doesn't mean you can jump up and down to test how it feels. you could tear the graft and cause another surgery.
to the Docs on this site, i hope that my explanation was sufficient for someone in her age group. i thought that explaining reanastomosis might be a bit much.
