they actually do judge the run in men's compulsaries
and i've always said, whether compulsories or not, judging the run is stoooooooooooooopid. wait a few years when this boy comes in to his own on vault. he'll still be running slower than some and he'll beat most of them. [/QUOTE}
D is in optionals now and I can't wait to see what happens now that they don't judge the run!! of course, that is, when he can compete and/or vault again!
Except by the definition he's more of a mesomorph. Ectomporphs have long legs and arms and little fat or little muscle. My dd truly fits that description.he runs like a typical ectomorph. it'll come.
I really hope that's true. At least he runs straight now, level 4 and 5 he always seemed wobbly on his run. He also loves going over the table so much more than the level 4 and 5 vaults.and i've always said, whether compulsories or not, judging the run is stoooooooooooooopid. wait a few years when this boy comes in to his own on vault. he'll still be running slower than some and he'll beat most of them.

My guy has short legs and arms and builds muscle easily, esp. in his upper body.
whoever i watched above is long legged and long armed and no torso. doesn't look like he has any fat. and he does have muscle. he's an ectomorph. also called "Olive Oil" body type.
and he's probably good on the swing events...p-bars and pommel horse. has good swing on rings but no strength moves. and has to work extra hard on vault and tumbling.
