Just wondering, for kids struggling with going backwards, or with individual skills, is it useful to keep at it slow and steady, or just take a break and revisit the skill after a period of months? Is there any benefit to sticking to a routine, for example 5 bwo on low beam with a heavy spot just to keep them moving backwards, or would it be less stressful to just work other skills and try that skill again after several months? Thanks!

a mix of both. should be slow and steady but space the problem skills further apart. there is no benefit to the heavy spot scenario. it won't "fix" the problem. and give them a time limit. say, five minutes to perform 5 back walkovers on the low beam with no spot. and stick to it. this method works best over time.
