We recently had to let our program director go, so the owner is stepping in for the title.
I have coached for years, but never moved forward. Im curious to know some information on what a program director does and what type of person it takes to be a successful one.
Thanks!

It can vary a lot of gym to gym.

A program director will oversee the full program (ie MAG, WAG etc). They may decide on the teams, who goes into what group, each teams hours, who coaches what group, how gymnasts are assessed, which competitions the kids will go to, how the year will be structured, what will be taught in the classes, write all the class plans etc. it will vary from gym to gym how much autonomy the individual coaches has versus how mcuh control the program director has.

You would need lots of coaching experience in your gymsport and a deep understanding of the develop, ent of both your gymsport and of children. You would need a thorough knowledge of the code of points in your area, good communication skills, good organisation skills and good leadership skills

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
