We do circuits during summer more than usually because we have more space (no rec kids or any other groups). We have 4 practices a week so usually one is a circuit (6-10 different spots, 30 sec each, 3 laps). One day a week we usually do some kind of fun competition, for example we do 10-15 different moves (V-ups, push ups, burpees, squat jumps etc) together and they have 30 seconds to do as many as they can. They count their good ones and get one point if they have the highest number. At the end the winner is the one who gets most points.
Once every two weeks they have a test day when they work with a partner and we always do the same exercises (vey high box jumps, leg lifts, push ups, V-ups, chin ups, rope climbs) and the partner counts the maximum number they can do with proper form (some of those things are timed, 30 secs). We write down the results and they can see their improvement.
On one day we do bars specific conditioning with lots of casts, drop kips, glides, hollow and arch holds, straddle casts etc. They usually wear
grips to do this. They have a conditioning sheet they have to complete.
Usually on those days they have dance we do a quick cardio warm up which also counts as conditioning. The girls or we set up an obstacle course with lots of jumping up and down (blocks, hula hoops, barriers, spring boards, mini tramps etc).
Also once a week we build up a split leap / split jump circuit focusing on active flexibility.
Other days they just complete some of the conditioning sheets we give them.
