Saw this video today as I am subscribed to saltocafe (love their videos!!!!)

However, after seeing it, I was wondering which you think describes a gymnast best? Which exercise is essential? Do you (or you daughter, or the kids you coach) work on Press to Vs like the girl in the first video?

I think press handstands and legless rope climbs are the best exercise to describe a gymnast :)

curious about your answers!

Legless rope climb, Gutbusters (hanging crunches), press handstands and shoulder shrugs in a handstand.

And just to add, for the sheer amount of time spent on them at home, at school, at the store- In fact anywhere normal people are using their feet- nothing beats a cartwheel or a handstand to let the world know that you are a proud parent of a gymnast!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
