I actually had voted for Shanshan, but that was assuming she could pull off her routine and not give us a repeat of worlds. Thank goodness I was wrong. I am so happy Shawn won.

I am glad for shawn but at the same time think the medal could have gone to nastia..shawn should have had floor and nastia beam and bars, but hwat's done is done, this has been a terribly confusing and interesting olympics.

IM THRILLED SHAWN WON!!! i love her and knew she deserved the gold on beam. her beam routine is so solid she is like a rockk.... i love herr! and besides.... nastia already had a gold metal and shawn didnt. im so happy they both got to leave with a gold!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
