Can you compete front walkover cartwheel on beam for Xcel Platinum as a connection? If so, how common is it?

I don't see why it isn't possible. However, connecting things out of forward landing skills is a difficult thing, so you might not always get credit for it (depending on how strict the judges are). That is also the reason it isn't performed a lot

It counts. It isn't super common, but I've seen it done.

We had a couple girls doing different series with front walkovers in recent years, including that one. I love them. I actually did front walkover front handspring as my first beam series.
