Parents I know gymnasts are small..but

My dd at age 11 is 5'1''. She weighs 100lbs.... her pedi saw the charts and tried to get a fat grab and couldnt get any. Shes all muscle. Healthy and happy. But believe me, it wasnt always like that. When I got custody of her, she was very very sick and puny. Now look at her! Holy cow..we were...

Parents Shameless brag meet report with a 28.25AA score!

This is so wonderful! I love hearing about how great girls do, overcoming any obstacle, and nothing will stop them from accomplishing their best! And you know it only gets better! Good job, mom.

Parents forgive me, but I have to brag!

OMG! My DD did outstanding at her meet. Her last meet was tough, and it just hurt her that she didnt do well. (It was my fault, as I let her stay at her other gmas house, and I found out she didnt get to bed till 2:30 a.m. I was super pi**ed. I said never again before a meet. Lesson learned.)...

Parents Meet anxiety - me, not her!

We have a wonderful mom who cant even watch. She gets so nervous for her dd. I just adore her. I get a little queasy too. Its so funny that we get all weirded out about our dd's performance. :p

Parents Vent/rant about munchkins out of control at meets (and gym!)

Oh I had to laugh! We have moms that brings the toddlers/ babies to meets, and ignore them. A little guy is crawling down a hall, and going under the vendor tables pulling stuff down. I point this out to mom, but I got a shrug, and "he's just exploring his world!"...Then the young ones whose mom...

Parents 1st Level 4 Meet and the drama that follows..

She had no expectations of scores when we went in. When she won the medal for vault is when it set in, plus the fact that high scores go in for the team as a whole. Oh boy. I honestly didnt have a clue as what the scores mean. So we didnt discuss it. But as for the video, I have gotten some good...

Parents 1st Level 4 Meet and the drama that follows..

Well, it was our first meet ever and really exciting. But the advice about her not watching video is going to be put into use. She is a great kid, but I dont want her to rip herself to shreds over what I find is "done well". She has only been in gymnastics for 2 years, and this last year has...

Parents 1st Level 4 Meet and the drama that follows..

@cadybearsmommy Thanks! Shes 10. The coaches dont really put any pressure on her. They are pretty good about making sure its enjoyable. I mean, they want the girls to do well, but the gym is way better at not humiliating the girls, like the last one.( We pulled her out just as we noticed the...

Parents 1st Level 4 Meet and the drama that follows..

My dd had her 1st meet this past weekend. She actually surprised us with her scores considering how her practices were. They had a mock meet, and her scores were hovering between 7 and 8s. At the actual meet they were mid 8s and high nines. She put her game face on and really did an exceptional...
