I don't understand all the symbols and codes...but this is what DD has and I am not sure if it is enough:
spring board to high board
kip to handstand
hopefully a tkatchev (inconsistent with it)
Pirouette to shootover to handstand
Chinese situp to kip/handstand
double giant
double layout dismount...
Couldn't find anything on google so I went here haha.
Does anyone know if Xcel Gold has to have a specific bar setting? Or is it like L4 where you can have it at any distance and any height?
i didn’t thjnk this day would ever come! DD was told that Monday she will move her giants to the pit bar! I know there is still a long road ahead (considering it took her a while to get them on strap) - but I can use some giant fairies sent her way!!!
Are there particular chin up bars that you love/hate? DD has asked for a chin up bar to do conditioning at home. Are there features that are recommended?
Hey All,
In Xcel Platinum, the gymnasts are required to have 6 A valued skills and 1 B valued skill. Although there is time left to achieve our goals, one of my gymnasts does not have her B valued skill yet. What is the deduction for not having that B valued skill?
Thanks to anyone who replies!
For level 5 bars, is it better to connect the routine, and miss the casts to higher than horizontal or pause and cast high enough - regarding deductions? Also, is there a certain amount of time you have to squat on and jump to the high bar without it being counted as a pause?
My gymmies coach mentioned to her she could do a kip instead of a pullover and a basket swing instead of a mill circle for her bar routine this season- has anyone else had their kiddo do this? My daughter is very excited about the possibility of switching up skills, but since her pullover and...
I've had a lot of trouble this week with the site, and I don't know if it was just me, but now the search bar is not working. Just wanted to throw that out there.
Can someone who is more experienced please confirm if the following level 6 bar routine fulfills all the requirements?
Kip - squat on - jump to high high bar- kip- cast to 45 degrees- giant - flyaway
Thank you!
Hi everyone, I guess I'm mostly venting:). As some of you know my DD has recently been diagnosed with Lupus. She's missed some practice due to pain and exhaustion and some lung issues. In top of that she's training to score out of level 4 and compete level 5. On top of THAT she recently got...
Hello Mya keeps landing in her back. I realize her hips are slightly picked but I feel there is something else going in in her rotation. Thanks for the expert eye and any advise to help her.
My kid, who has her L4 bar skills and is working on the L4 routine, has had a few falls off the high bar that sound like narrowly averted disasters, including one fall that she broke with her nose and another where she put her hand down. In the gym I see the optionals using various strategies to...
I'm a Sr. 9 in aga which is the equivalent to like level 6-10 in usag. It's complicated. I'll include all my requirements in every routine so if you would like to suggest a routine you can.
Routine 1: LB cut catch, squat on, straddle back, kip, cast handstand, kip, clearhip, squat on, HB cut...
Ok, now that level 6 season is winding down, DDs group is starting up strap bar giants.
DD did them last summer with coach giving her a push in her swings. Now they have to do it alone. DD can not get over the bar for the life of her! Swing, swing, swing...nothing.
She tells me that she is...
This summer DD will be training USAG level 7 and needs new grips. Currently, she's using Ginnasta USA velcros for level 6. Everybody at her gym uses English Bulldog double buckle. Sho
uld I get the same ones she has, bulldog, or try something else? Any grip suggestions/preferences? TIA
Hey guys, have a quick question about the level 2 bar routine. I know hooking your knee at the end of the mill circle is a 0.5 deduction in level 3 and had always assumed the same for level 2. I am now hearing their is no deduction for hooking the knee in level 2. Any judges or coaches want...
If they do a kip instead of a glide/PO, is it a kip/cast/FHC or kip/FHC? ODD competed her kip yesterday for the first time and scored a 9.1 (yay). I thought her coach said it was a kip/cast/FHC, but she only did a kip/FHC. It was a last minute decision, so I'm not sure if she knew what to do.
