My level 9 daughter is constructing her floor routine. She plan not doing the doubles because it might hurts your ankle when landing.
I am wondering if it affects her starting value. She told me no . Her start value is still 10.
What effects her routine without doubles on her college...
Hi! I need some help. My daughter has been using the 00 usglove doible buckle grips since level 4/5. Her coach mentioned today there are better grips for higher levels and she shouldn’t use those above level 6.
Anyone have suggestions?? Thanks so much in advance!!
Thinking ahead to level 9 and I wondered where someone would find out info about which skills when connected have bonuses? Is there a cheat sheet or something or is it that certain value skills when connected have bonuses? Thank you!
Does anyone here on level9/10 did or plan to have a post graduation year for dd, so they can have one more year to get more mature and leveled up to be on college team?
As the competition season is heading closer I am getting very nervous about competing on floor. I posted a similar thread a couple of months ago but I have still yet to confirm my tumbling passes with my coach:( Anyway to the point. I am struggling with connecting two saltos together and I have...
My DD feels very comfortable staying a small gym without pit. She is practicing level 9 skills . I am worried about their facility has no pit , how much this wud affect the learning new skills of level 9 and level 10?
I’ve been following the discussion about level 10, but there are so many parts to it and whenever I think of responding, it’s gone off in a different path. Lol. So I thought I’d start a new thread about this because I’m curious.
I think the changes to level 9 are great and I definitely see how...
I am currently working on level 9 skills and I have some questions regarding floor requirements. My coach and I have been going over options for tumbling passes to have a 10.0 start value. I have a really solid double back (I have it on the floor already) but I am not a very strong twister so we...
Hi, my 12 year old dd will be competing her first level 9 meet in a few weeks. She has strong skills, and is very much of a perfectionist. She works every night after practice for example on perfecting her leaps, points, split jumps at home so that she doesn't receive any deduction on those...
Hi, my daughter is training level 9 and working on blinds, but not to front giants, rather to switching direction and doing back giants, so like 2 blinds and 3 giants in a row. She needs it in 2 months from now and currently does it with a spot on high bar. Is there a chance she could be...
My daughter is getting frustrated and needs a high to low bar release. She is working on the overshoot to handstand. I want to suggest to her that she try a B skill overshoot until she can safely catch her handstand. I just want to give her advise to help relieve the pressure... She has strong...
Hello, my DD is talking about moving to WOGA this summer. How is WOGA FRISCO about accepting new gymnast? She is not Olympic Material but she is good, only problem at her gym is not enough coaching the groups are too big. Also how old are WOGA level 9's?
Good luck to everyone competing this weekend! My daughter will be competing Sunday afternoon at the Region 8 level 9 regionals. Anyone else going to be there? Anyone else competing in another region this weekend? I'm surprised there hasn't been much talk about regionals on here this season...
My sister is competing level 9 and has all level 10 skills but she is very weak on vault. She has had 2 meets this season already, got 9.05 (she felt she had done her best on that one) and 8.4 on the other (didnt land that vault). Its not just about the scores; her coach says her vault is the...
Hi my sister (age 10 level 9) has been told to compete her pak this season. She has trained a perfect pak but can also do a brilliant overshoot. She says overshoot is easier for her to do and she thinks she would get less deductions and an easier routine if she competes that. She has an in-house...
What training equipment is necessary to safely and effectively train a level 9/10? Are pits to tumble into really that necessary? What about coaching ability? How important is it to have a coach who can spot?
I am a training level 9 for the first time this year. I have a good, solid pike tsuk on vault and I’m good on floor as well. My bar routine is kip squat on, pirouette connected to an overshoot then giant giant layout half flyaway. My only issue there is keeping good form throughout my overshoot...
