Help!!I have always had trouble with my turns on beam but now my coach is concentrating alot more on them :( She says I "hook":confused: my foot and I dont turn all the way before stepping out.But my feet just get stuck when I turn and I dont know how to fix this or the hooking problem...
This might be a silly question but bear with me :rolleyes: lol
I find that when doing spins/turns/pirouettes on floor, my foot gets "stuck" and stops spinning after about a 1/2 turn. My toes get caught and it just stops the rotation completely.
I can do double turns easily on other surfaces...

So I have noticed a problem with my turns on beam. Its not so much a balance issue, its a feet sticking to the beam issue, making it really hard to actually turn. Aside from the shoes, any other ways to alleviate this problem? Or should I just suck it up and tear up the bottom of my feet...

My daughter has just moved to a different gym-she started at a good private club and then we moved and she attended a Y-now she is at a private club near our new home. She is training as a level 6-and had great level 4 and 5 seasons, especially on beam. Her 2 previous gyms taught...
my level 2's cant grasp the concept of a passe half turn i dont know what i can do to get them to pull up and spill fast while still holding the correct shape

I don't know about you, but I know a lot of people who have or have had trouble w/sticking full turns on beam. It's an embarassing skill to fall on, yet hard to master. Last summer, when I found out I was moving to level six, my parents bought me a four-foot low beam. I did full turns on it...
