Help!!I have always had trouble with my turns on beam but now my coach is concentrating alot more on them :( She says I "hook" my foot and I dont turn all the way before stepping out.But my feet just get stuck when I turn and I dont know how to fix this or the hooking problem either!!Any suggestions??

Try to put weight on your big toe as you turn. Also, the hooking problem could be because you aren't high enough in releve. How are your turns on floor? If you feel like you're sticking to the beam, you can put chalk on the ball of your foot at practice.
Hope I helped! :)

when my girls are 'hooking' their foot I have them first practice standing in high releve with their foot against the standing leg with the big toe just above the ankle bone (this also keeps from having the foot too low and incurring a deduction for the toe touching the beam on the turn).
