I feel like I've started a lot of threads for a newbie, but I have a question that I was hoping some of you parents could relate to.
DD is 7. She has been in gymnastics for 3 years - she started at age 4. She did 1 year tots, 1 year developmental, 6 months "mighty mites" and now 6 months of...
I am 15 and train 12 hours a week. I have been struggling in the gym with heel pain, I have gotten x rays and a bone scan amd nothing has showed up, I was diagnosed with calcaneal apophisitis (also known as severs disease). I have taken the last 3 weeks off due to it and am taking off the summer...
Sorry have to vent my anger
Just found out that my dd's coach has cancelled the next two training sessions which means that she has no practice sessions before regionals. Really not happy about it. She needs all the practice she can get.
Coaches that are sugary sweet at meets (in public) to their kids but is an absolute tyrant (yelling, degrading, and just plain mean) in the gym at practice (closed to onlookers).
Munchkins are the adorable younger siblings/friends of competing gymnasts. However, a lot of the time their behavior is not so cute. I have had my nachos stepped in, camera knocked over, and have tripped over them. I have listened to the wailing of overtired toddlers who could care less about...
I haven't been visiting Chalkbucket much lately. I apologize for coming here just to vent, but I'm really mad about this situation and want to share with people who will understand, or who will tell me I'm overreacting. :)
So my son moved to a new gym just before this season started. He's...
Well, my husband works out of his car for his job. So he has aot of electronics in there. He went out this morning to start his car, and someone had broken into it. They took his digital camara, his dash mount gps, his plug in computer gps, his maglight, ipod, sirius radeo. They damaged his...
Sometimes I really do hate gymnastics. My DD, for those of you who remember, has really struggled with the sport as she has gotten older. Has always loved it, but has gone through her "quitting" phases, went back to it, and on and on.
So... she is now competing Level 7 and has been really...
I am super frustrated right now. The gym was closed for 2.5 weeks for the Holidays and we have a meet in 3 weeks. I do T&T.
Now my double mini coach will not allow me to do my old level 8 pass and is asking a lot for me to learn and perfect a new one that I am finding quite difficult in 3...
DD got 3 new leos in the mail today from Alpha Factor. All 3 of them are the same size, but completely different sizes. I ordered CS because they are work-out leos and I wanted them to have a little growing room. I pulled out the first leo and it was tiny. I double checked the tag for the...
I have already emailed DD's coach in a very polite manner to let her know how my child felt and I need a place to vent how I really feel and what I really wanted to say.
DD is a 5yo L4. They recently began working a few L5 skills into their rotations. One of those skills is a dive roll. The...
I was wondering if anyone else is unhappy at their gym, but has no where else to go. There is one girl at my daughter's gym who always gets special treatment. My daughter can always do the skills first, not that her coach ever sees her do them because he is usually not watching. Our coach always...
hello all
I may be rambling here but I guess I need to get this off my chest as I think I'm going to explode if I don't.
Ok about a month or so ago my DD and I had a meeting with the gym owner and the team coach regarding my DD staying on L7 team or going to Prep Op (not something my DD...
Ok, so if you read my post about the mental block with my ROBHS then you know that I got it about a year ago and have been doing them for 11 months with no problems or hesitations at all. Then I had a tired moment and fell. Well now it's like my body forgot how to do it and I have spent over a...
I know I had posted not long ago about how the head coach got fired, which stinks because she did Midget's privates and while tough she was really good and Midget loved her. But she did not coach the L3s normally so other than privates it wasn't a big impact.
Unfortunately it has been bigger...
Well I am becoming frustrated with daughters gym. It is now towards the end of September and we still do not have a meet schedule. I think we may have a meet in November but I am not sure, its all second hand information from my daughter. I have to put my work schedule in and I am in the...
Ugh. Just feel like complaining. Last night at practice DD's coach really rubbed me the wrong way. I know that I'm just being sensitive, but I can't quite shake the feeling of being unhappy with her.
DD's old coach for developmental was very positive and encouraging. She always greeted the...
So my DD has been battling her way through some major fear issues - lost all her back tumbling in Dec. and I am sooo proud of her for just keeping on keeping on and working through it. She is an amazing kid with great determination and I DO tell her that. But tonight, the night she nails her...
OK - I will try to be as short as possible, but I have to go back a little ways for you to know where I am coming from:o! BTW, I just posted this whole thing, and got booted out right at the end - ARGH:mad:!!!
Our gym hired a new HC about six months ago. He seems very nice, is very...
So about a month ago we were told that little gymmie's group had to start wearing the team practice leo every Monday (all the preteams and compulsary teams wear them) and that we had a week to turn in the money. I turn my check in on time and have been waiting for a month for gymmie to get the...
