My 8-year-old son received the highest AA score out of all age groups at our level 4 state championships! We expected him to do well in his age group but we didn’t expect him to win the whole thing! That was pretty cool.

I’m particularly happy that my kid went out there with a big smile on his face and supported his teammates, befriended his competitors, and generally had a marvelous time. It was a very positive experience for him.
there is something magical about level 4 and 8 years of age. the highest all around score at our regional meet at level 4 came from an 8 year old. he waxed everyone.

I’m late to the game on this but want to brag anyway. I took an online break but now I’m back. My kid decided on a second year of level 8, but instead of coasting, maxed out her difficulty to help better prepare her for level 9. She had some consistency struggles at the beginning of the season, but at state had the meet of her life, ended up with a state title on beam and was a tenth off of winning the AA.

She has started her first level 9 season off coming back from a minor injury, but it looks to be a promising first year of 9. Super proud of her!
