Prepare to use muscles you haven't used in a while, wear a good sports bra and a comfotable leotard. tie your hair up in a pony tail that stays put.

Most of all have fun!!!!
 
Don't expect to be able to do something just because other people can do it, or be able to grasp it and do a skill as quickly as you would like to. Enjoy it for what it is worth, gymnastics is a great sport for everyone. Have fun!!!!!!
 
Condition at least at 1 day for every day you take the class at first.

If you take the class 1x a week, condition at home 1 extra day. 2-2. Stretch the same amount.

Most girls will feel more comfortable wearing shorts of some kind, either basketball shorts or those cheer/gymnast shorts. Watch out as they like to wrap around the bar on bar circling skills.

Try not to wear your hair in a bun as it will hurt if you work backward rolls. Pony tails work best in this case.
