We have had some threads in the forum discussing the differences in USAG J.O. Level 10 gymnastics and Elite Gymnastics. I thought it would be good to start a thread where we can compare the two with video examples. If there is a story behind your videos...please share. I'll start with a random example:

Remember this is just two random videos from Youtube. One is L10 uneven bars and one is elite uneven bars.

I think a lot of people don't realize it does not go level 10 then elite. It is hard to understand as all the others levels go in a row and generally are not huge steps up from one another. But going from 10 to elite is like going from level 2 to 9 IMO anyways. Granted there are better trained 10's that are prepping for elite. The bars video was a good example of a mid range level 10 and a super elite ;)

Bars is also the event that has the largest gap between Level 10 and elite. The other events not as much. I actually prefer sometimes to see a great Level 10 floor routine vs an elite routine with a million tumbling passes. Give me a Level 10 floor routine with 3 difficult elite level passes or an NCAA routine over an elite routine any day.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
