My daughter's rec class had evaluations to see who could move up to the next level, and she was moved up (hooray!). She was on cloud nine on the drive home. It was great.

We walked in the door at home and she stopped and burst into tears. I asked her what was wrong. And she manages to blurt out "you PROMISED we could get ice cream if I did well at testing!"

I hadn't realized she expected to get ice cream straight from the gym at 9am. Lesson learned.

I know my kids would have never let me make it home had I made that promise!! Hopefully she has had her ice cream!

We managed to procure a scoop of mint chocolate chip at baskin robins. Her first choice (Dairy Queen) didn't open until noon. As a last resort, I was prepared to get her a half gallon from the grocery store!
