I would like to learn forward roll on the beam (just to sit straddling the beam, not to standing). Please post any tips that might help. In particular, how to stay straight!

When you squat down, hold the top of the beam. As you start rolling, quickly slide your hands down the side of the beam and grab underneath it (almost as if you're resting with your hands underneath your head, but the beam is in the way). If you grab tight enough, it should stop your roll and you'll end up lying on the beam, then you can straddle and sit up. Hope this helps and was clear! How do you hold underneath the beam?
