Well, it has been a bit since I have been on here (had issues logging on). Anyway, you may remember DD was diagnosed in January with a L5 Pars Defect (stress fracture). DD went back to the doctor on Monday and was given the all clear. Now, her physical therapist hasn't - he still says no hard landings - and not to over extend her back much.... and she is still doing PT. But yay!! She actually has been doing a few things for over a month - like giants/free hips, working a front toss on beam instead of BHS BackLayout/Stepout. She did vault (using a spring board) for the first time yesterday (into the pit) with no pain. :-)

So....that's where we are... keep praying she is able to continue this path....

SO glad to hear this, Traci! We are in a similar situation - DD got cleared a couple months ago to slowly ease back into things after her back issue. Building back that core/back strength is taking a lot of time (dang brace!), but it is happening and she is healed. Hang in there - those skills will be back before you know it, and I'll bet your DD will be more excited and motivated than ever!:):):)

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
