I am an AUS coach so I don't know what the terms are in the US for this skill, but we call it a tuck through to pike hold or a squat through to pike. It is a mount on beam that my gymnasts are competing this year. Many of the girls are having trouble not touching the beam with their feet on the squat through, does anyone have any progression drills to help this??
Also when they hold the pike their butts need to be pushed right through which they are also struggling with any other coaches have troubles with this? I have tried everything!!
