Is there some special requirment to have a free hip to 3/4 at level 8. The coach told my daughter if she did not do her free hip (which follows a piourette at handstand and I think a kip and a cast on the low bar) to at least 3/4 height, her routine would have a 9.5 start value. The JR. Op requirement sheet I found on line only mentions 1)1 bar change, 2&3)2 elements same or different, minimum of a B (1 with flight or turn and one from groups 3, 6 or 7). and 4the salto or hecht dismount. I don't know what elements are in groups 3,6 or 7 but am guessing the 2 giants count? I can/will ask her coach eventually if necessary. Just thought maybe someone here could let me know if there is a required element at level 8 I'm not aware of Thanks

An element from groups 3, 6, or 7 would be a clear hip, stalder, or toe-on. Giants don't count. Therefore, if your daughter's clear hip doesn't get credit for a B (just has to go to horizontal), she would be missing that requirement.
