Is It Thick or Thin
I recommend a bun unless you have a roll in your routine in which case I would Do 2 french or Dutch braids into a ponytail or alone.

Pretty thick. Our gym requires a bun and I was wondering if anyone had any good tutorials for it. My hair doesn't feel super secure at meets although it usually holds up. But I'm willing to try new methods of doing it.

I have extremely thin hair but I would honestly just use a lot of hair ties and if your gym has a club scrunchie -amazing. If not look it up on youtube

You could try using those spiral hairpins. When I had really long hair my bun stayed very secure with them. Maybe even use a hair net together with the pins.

Hair net with a donut. Also, a pound of hairspray. Oh, and braids. French braid into the bun, two if you can. Then you can do a bunch of little braids for the hair if you need to. Otherwise you should be good.

DD has thick wavy short/medium hair and she does two dutch braids into a ponytail, braids the ponytail and then makes it into a bun.
