It may be a while before the MAG group is back up, so posting here. The big guy had his follow up appointment and all looks good. The stitches are out and he's been cut loose by the orthopedist to work gradually back up to full weight-bearing. His coach is still hoping against hope that they will somehow manage to get him to the point where he is capable of competing at Navy on 1/19. Personally, I would rather adjudicate every grade complaint in my department for the entire semester than take that trip to watch him stink up the meet, but it's not up to me, lol. Good luck to all of you with guys who are starting off the new year with a meet this weekend!
