My daughter is having trouble with the rope climb no legs, legs in a pike. I think she doesn't understand the mechanics over strength. I have been trying to Google helpful ideas and have seen these
1. Keep arms bent, do not straighten
2. Keep hands between chest and nose and. Climbing

Any other helpful tips? It seems the.olfer kids lift their legs up to like first before starting to climb

I don't know why your daughter struggles on the rope climb, but it was my daughter's nemesis from Tops through and including college. From age 8 to 22, it was a horror. They yelled at her, she avoided it, blah blah blah. She happened to be a bar specialist and was national best in the distant past on anything that involved her core. Even so, the other thing she could barely do is pull-ups. She would peel more than she should have.

Fast forward to one day at age 21ish. She's standing in the training room at her college with her Olympian friend. For fun, trainer says, "let's test your grip strength?" Olympian friend crushed and recorded into the top 1% - even among men. My daughter's grip strength was the equivalent of an 80yo woman. Who knew?
