Hi!

I coach a girl who won't stand straight while jumping or doing any skills. She jumps with her left foot slightly in front of her right foot, and her hips off-centre, and although she often corrects herself in the air she always lands back in this position. I try to ensure her hips are even, telling her to push her right hip forward, etc... she says it feels unnatural to be bouncing straight.

As she's learning more advanced skills such as half-outs I'm worried about what this will do, as it always makes her land off centre and facing to the corner of the tramp.

Any suggestions as to why she does this and how I can make prevent it?

Random thought but have you checked she doesn't have one leg longer than the other or one really tight hip flexor.

I was thinking the same thing, either something structurally different between the left and right sides of her body, or some kind of muscle imbalance between the left and right sides, or possibly both.
