No...you don't have to change...and use don't have to use any that are currently on the site. We just have a lot of members that do not have an avatar...I was giving them some options. You should still be able to upload your own custom avatar.

I can't use a photo from my iphone as an avatar, but I WAS able to do this to select a profile pic. Help!

I am not sure as I don't have an iPhone. I was just able to upload an image from my computer. It correctly shrunk it into an avatar.

Can anyone with an iPhone help out with this?

I just tried in on my iPod Touch and it seemed to work fine.

Alright...in order to give the forum a more personal touch...the avatar size has been upgraded again.

All members may upload and avatar that is 200 pixels wide by 150 pixels wide. This is a 4:3 ratio. If you upload a picture that was taken in landscape it should resize it to 200px by 150px. This is the perfect size (ratio) for uploading pics from your favorite mobile device.
