In past election years, we have allowed a single thread in which the CB ban on political debate is lifted so that people can discuss the US Presidential Election.
We will not be doing so this year.
Bog and I are in agreement that this is the most mean-spirited and all-around unpleasant election the US has seen in a very long time, and we do not think any part of it belongs on the CB.
I encourage everybody to make sure your voter registration is current, and to show up on election day (or before, if you are in a state that has early voting). However, there will be no discussion of this election on the CB. Any posts about the candidates, the election, or issues pertaining to it will be locked or deleted without comment.
