From the Xcel CoP vault deductions for gold, platinum and diamond:" There is no deduction if the coach, when standing between the board and the vault apparatus, makes
contact with the safety zone mat or inadvertently touches the vault apparatus". So as long as he doesn't touch her, i think there won't be a deduction.

Like imagine if the coach stood or squatted (to stay out of the judges view) on the back side of the vault but on the mat, but did not touch the gymnast or the vault.
We have seen that happen if the mat had been slipping out when the gymnasts land. The coach's weight kept the mat from slipping, so the gymnast didn't have to worry about an additional balance issue (kinda hard to land with the mat moving under you).

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
