I just started level 5 And in lvl 4 I had a a striaght arm front hip circle.
But I just got grips and I think The grips might be my problem. Any advice ?

My daughter just got grips and is in the process of re-learning how to do everything. She did tell me that after last night's practice - her 3rd with the grips- that her kip was pretty much back (11 out of 14 successful attempts,) back but that the hip circling, front and back, still felt wonky and she is afraid to jump for the high bar after her stoop/squat on. Each practice has gotten easier for her, though. Hang in there- this brief set back will be all worth it when you are doing giants!

Do you have your kip? if so, do this:
Kip cast kip back hip circle back hip circle 5 casts squat on long hang kip back hip tap tap tap tap tap dismount. This is what we do at my gym about 3 times the first day you get grips- it works perfectly!!
If not:
pullover back hip circle back hip circle back hip circle squat on tap tap tap
We also do this. Works perfectly, but do it like 5 times. By then your hands are super warm and the leather is sfter. Also, if you don't right now, squirt the grips with water and then PILE ON THE CHALK!! It totally loosens the grip and makes it feel easer and part of your hand
