lol! Maybe I'll try a different type of wristband if I can't figure out a way to get these to feel "just right" :) Like I said, I've never had grips before, so I don't know if it feeling weird is normal or if there's actually an issue, haha!
Oh gymnastics....you teach me such silly lessons...
Yes I have this problem too! Mine are double thickness, I think, black on one side and white on the other and usually by the time I'm finished the white is about halfway showing, haha. I have the longer ones because I heard those were better before I bought them! They just seem better, haha, no...
Hi all,
I recently got my first pair of grips and I've been wearing some Nike wristbands underneath them, but I noticed they bunch up a lot and also my grips tend to rotate a little bit....this is hard to explain....like the wrist part shifts left or right of where it had started with. I...
Hi everyone!
I'm hoping to compete at the AAU Age Group Nationals and Junior Olympic Games next year (I know, it's a while off, but I need the year for progressing!) but I haven't competed since I was level 4! I took some years off, needless to say.
Anyways I see that there is an...
Berlin is hosting the 2011 European Championships, I'm guessing that's what you meant since the 2010 ones have already happened!
If you meant the 2010 World Championships, those will be in Rotterdam, Holland later this year.
OK I got my GK leo and have had a practice in it so I feel fully equipped to reply now!
Like I said, I have one Alpha Factor leo and now one GK that actually fits!
The Alpha Factor definitely rides up in the butt, but the GK one stayed put for the whole practice! Woohoo! Alpha Factor is...
I broke my ankle back in January and when I was able to start back into gym again in late March, my dr advised that I continue heavily taping it til the end of the semester when my class ended (mid May). I got totally spoiled at my gym where there was a college team training so I got to be taped...
Oh my gosh you guys!!! I LOVE my Tiger Paw!
I ordered it last Thursday, I think, and received it Wednesday, the other day! Can't really beat that for shipping can you? I called them the day after I ordered it to make sure I was ordering the right size and the owner Mike told me that they make...
I have a GK and an Alpha Factor and I like the way the Alpha Factor fits in the shoulders, it's looser than the GK and a little easier to get on, lol! But the Alpha Factor gives me horrible wedgies, haha! So for me:
GK= no wedgies, yes tight shoulders
AF= yes wedgies, no tight shoulders...
OK Well I just called and talked to Mike, the owner, and he assured me that yes, the bowling wrist support is the exact same product, it's just one instead of two. Obviously bowlers want wrist support but they only bowl with one hand so they don't need a second one. It is indeed the exact same...
Bizarre....I googled gymnastics wrist supports the other day and basically the only thing that came up was Tiger Paw. It says on their site that they rely on word of mouth but you'd think they would pay a little money to show up at the top of the search engine when it also says "don't be fooled...
As a matter of fact, they DO sell just one tiger paw. I just bought mine yesterday. It's $30 for a single. You just go onto their website and click on Bowling wrist supports. It is the same tiger paw, just one rather than the pair.
Bowling Wrist Support
Hi everyone!
I am looking into wrist supports because my right wrist gets really tender when I tumble (I'm a 22 year old average sized person, I shouldn't be surprised!) but I'm not sure what to buy.
Of course I've heard of Tiger Paws and I know they do have the option of buying just one...
I definitely got those when I worked a lot on back hip circles, so I think it's pretty normal. I think it's just from the force of the body weight hitting the bar. After I was first getting it, I remember having a lot of tenderness over each hip in the front and then the next day there would be...
I know here at OU there is one girl who is a walk on this year, but she didn't compete at all, Nitya Ramaswami. I saw her do beam at an intrasquad and thought she was good but to be honest OU is so deep this year they don't need her on beam.
Another girl, Julie Kramer, apparently contacted...
