Hi I am an Xcel gymnast and I have been thinking about doing college gymnastics but I hear you have to get recruited for it and that only J.O level 9-10 gymnasts get recruited. I want to get on to the Denver University team. Is it possible for an Xcel gymnast like me to do it? Tips and Opinions...
I just want to say I am so excited that college gymnastics is back on tv! I love watching with my girl. I wish the sport was on more often.

With college fast approaching, (only 1 year left) I was wondering what my chances were at being able to do gymnastics. I'm defiantly not good enough to go to Florida, LSU or some colleges like that. But I'm working level 9 and 10 skills (yurchankos, double backs, double pikes, double fronts...
My daughter will be a 13 year old USAG level 9 this year, and is entering 8th grade. Her dream is to pursue D 1 college gymnastics. I certainly don't want to bust her bubble, but for kids who may not reach level 10 until freshman or (even more likely), sophomore year of High School, but, is this...
Hey ladies! Quick question, I'm working skills in levels 9 and 10, so I will probably compete level 9 this coming season (but hey, a lot could happen in a few months!) Anyway, I was wondering if college coaches ever looked at level 9 gymnasts? I'm not expecting them to come to me, so I would...
So I'm working level 9 skills (and some level 10 skills), hoping to compete that level for next season. With college 2 years away, I was wondering if any schools would take level 9's or would I have to be a level 10 to even be considering college gymnastics?
I'm looking for a division 1 gymnastics team that is not so good and a college that will except a gpa of about a 2.5. I want to do college gymnastics but I'm not good enough to go to Florida, Arizona, or ucla. Also division 2 schools will be okay too. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks everyone
Hello ChalkBucket,
I am a 16-year-old level 6 gymnast. I started gymnastics almost two years ago, and absolutely fell in love with the sport. It is my biggest regret that I didn't start earlier, but I can't change that, so instead I work extremely hard and am very dedicated. It is my dream to do...
Okay is it completely impossible for me to be part of a division 1 college gymnastics team? I am a sophomore in high school and I am a level 8?... I don't know what to do. My coach keeps telling me division two but if I'm going to do college gymnastics I would prefer division one. Am I crazy to...
Do any of your HS girls have a blog page with info for recruiters? Any way I can see some examples out there?? Are the links on their club pages or somewhere else?
Thanks!
I seem to remember someone posting a website that live streams some NCAA meets a long time ago, but my search turned up nothing.
Does anyone know where meets can be live-streamed?
So when do you start having to consider your options for college? It seems like academically you have to start thinking about college earlier and earlier and I was wondering when do you have to start making decisions gymwise about competing? Is there a level and age? What do you have to...
Hi everyone really want to do gymnastics in college but I don't think I'm gonna be good enough. I am in 10th grade and a level 8 gymnast. I will tell you all the skills I have.
vault: tsuk, working yuchenko like I can do it onto the level 4 mat no problem.
bars: shoot over, giants, pirouette...
My dd is 14 going into freshmen year next year. Her coaches have told her she will compete level 10 (first year) as a freshman. I know of 12 year olds in level 10 so I'm wondering if this lowers her chances at a gymnastics scholarship... It's her dream but I'm wondering if it's a realistic...
Hi! So here's a little overview: when I was younger I did gymnastics and then switched to TNT. Since then, I quit and now I'm back in normal high school gymnastics. I take private lessons and classes weekly and I have level 10 skills on beam, vault, and floor. the only problem is that I have...
I used to do club gymnastics, but i quit because it was simply too much for my schedule. Now i do highschool gymnastics, and was wondering if an exceptional highschool gymnast could get some sort of scholarship for college gymnastics? and if so, I have heard of college gymnasts competing elite...
I will be a junior this coming school year, and competing level 9 in the winter/spring season.
I've wanted to be part of college gymnastics for a very long time, and my question is, what should I do to become part of it?
If there are any questions you'd need to know about myself to make this...
Just out of curiosity, what does it take to make a D 1 college women's gymnastics team. What does it typically take to get a scholarship? What does it typically take to make college gymnastics teams that are in other divisions?
Im 13 i am doing level 8 for a second year but i have put in some level 9 skills. For vault i can do a pike tsuk, for bars i learned a shootover this summer and perfected my bar routine, for beam im doing backhandspring backhandspring and for my dismount found off layout, floor im trying to do a...
