So, up until today I had only seen my DDs new floor routine with the choreography, hadn't seen her do any of her tumbling passes as the coaches were still figuring out how many passes and which skills, etc..that she would be doing. For her level 9 meets she will do 3 tumbling passes and for...
Out of sheer curiosity, what is that one piece of floor music you can't stand to hear at the gym/meets etc?:D Whether you are sick of it because it is overused, or you just plain don't like it for no particular reason.
For me, I have two. I will admit Nathan Lanier has some beautiful stuff...
Option 1, Piano:
Option 2, Trumpet:
Option 3, Mix:
Which one of these 3 Options for level 4 music do you like the best, and which one does your gym use?
I am going to use the level 4 routine for my optional routine next year, that is why i am interested.
Hi everyone :) I was wondering if anyone might be willing to look at my floor routine and give me some feedback on what I should improve on and fix. Some ideas for better floor choreography would be appreciated as well, I don't really have anything to do to get into the corners for my passes. I...
Is there a minimum time for floor routines in platinum. I know it can not be longer than 1 minute 30 seconds, but can it be as short as a minute? Trying to figure out if DD needs a new routine.
Hi coaches!
Our gym is looking into getting a new spring floor. We currently have flexi roll strips over a 20+ year old dead spring floor. No idea of brand/type. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
Alex and I have been searching of new floor music for hours.
She is not a powerful tumbler and she is not an actress.
She loves violin music, dislikes spanish music.
But wants something unique.
Suggestions welcome :)
Its so darn hard...
Thank you
So we get new floor routines every year. Some people get new routines and some people get passed down routines from higher level gymnasts. Summer time is when most people start looking at music, so most of us have music picked out. I’ve had two picked out— which my coaches liked both.
Later...
DD is training L8, she has the double turn on floor and is working turns with her leg upright. I was looking into getting the toe shoes for her (not sure if that's the correct name for these). I saw some of the elites wearing them on one foot. Does your gymnast use them? Are they helpful? What...
Alright long post! Be prepared!
So this is my first thread on Chalk Bucket but I have been poking around for awhile.. Anyways, So for a little bit of backstory since this is my first thread, I have 3 kids all girls ODD Has been graduated for a year now but she did dance from around 5 to when...
Hey all,
I cut a piece of music lately for a gymnastics routine, and I really enjoyed doing it. I'd really like to do some more.
So, if anybody would like some floor music to be cut, please let me know! For reference, here's the one I already made: . I don't think it came out too badly...
Does anyone know if Ashton Locklear is going to attempt to compete AA? Or at least floor in addition to her bars + beam? I saw a video on her instagram of some floor tumbling. I'm not sure how to link it from instagram but hopefully someone else can help me out!
What front and back tumbling passes are allowed in level 6?
Anything beyond RO BH BL?
What beyond FH FP? Can you compete a FT FT?
Daughter struggles on bars, so is repeating 6, but she does decent on floor and is looking for some new tumbling passes.
YDD had a bunch of mental blocks last year - everything backwards on floor and beam and flyaway. With the help of a sports psychologist, she got all her skills back and had a very successful repeat L6 season
In the last week, she started blocking on her RO-BHS-BT on floor. I think it is just...
Hi. Pretty recently my daughter has started struggling to do her ROBHS in her floor routine for Level 3. She's been doing it for months- and has even done a ROBHSBHS multiple times. I think it is mostly nerves. What would the deduction be for just doing a round off in the floor routine? They...
