Ok so I finally have gotten my low bar kip a lot better and can connect it into my bar routine so now i am working more on high bar kips, but i am having so much trouble.
I have done two long hang kips in my life (one at summer camp, and one around december) but now i seem to be back to square...
My daughter is a prep 3 gymnast in tn, she has always had a fear of jumping to the high bar. She worked through with stacking mats and was doing very well, she won gold in state meet at the end of last year on bars in her age division. She has no problems with a smaller bar setting, great kip...
Brand new to the forum, so I thought I'd dive right in.
My 11-year old joined his first competitive gymnastics group last summer. Last weekend he attended the third meet of his life. We came away with that wonderful feeling of a job well done, but being new as we are, we also came away with...

thanks

Wanted to know any feelings on wearing high bar grips for rings. I have known many gymnasts in the past who have worn them on rings, many of whom swung very well. Any comments? Obviously the dowel would be smaller, but I did lock arms in small dowel ring grips quite comfortably...
