My daughter is ten. She has done gymnastics in USAIGC for five years. She has some very big tricks but is missing the finishing she needs. She has found a new gym and has hit it off with her soon to be new coach.
My question is does anyone have any experience with the testing out process...
I need to say, if you know the name of the gym involved in this coach's recent charges, please keep it anonymous, it doesn't need to be said.
So yesterday, a coach at a gym in my area was arrested and is currently in custody (pending a DNA test) for charges of attacking woman on a local...

This came up as a top general news story. Not a good headline at all.
Someone needs to be proactive and make sure that USA Gym is one step ahead of the press. If they were expected to be at the...
Since USAG seems unable to bring themselves to reach out to parents for input on the current disaster enveloping gymnastics, it seems there is a role to create a list of specific suggestions for USAG.
Hopefully, those with connections to administration and leadership can take these ideas back...
I have an 8 year old, level 6 teammate moving to England this summer due to the military. She is planning on continuing her gymnastics after the move. What is the difference between the levels? I'm just curious.
Hi!
I am new to the forum but have looked on here from time to time and have found the advice given really helpful. So I thought I would present my question to you more seasoned gymnastics parents. I have tried to educate myself about gymnastics but am basically a nerdy english teacher who...
per ESPN.com Suit also involves verbal and physical abuse...

I have two girls who I am bringing into optionals this year. They competed Xcel Gold last season and did well, one being state champion. I am teaching them the Level 4 and 5 routines so I can take them to a meet and score them out. I am having them compete Level 6 this season.
Something I'm...

This is getting to be ridiculous!
So I paid for, and submitted a form for, DD's USAG card (new member card, not a renewal) at the beginning of summer. I had yet to receive anything so I asked at the gym and they said you can get it online (I guess they no longer mail them to your house). But without receiving anything I can't...
this story broke yesterday and is part of a Georgia trial against USAG by a former gymnast. Names and gyms to be redacted out. The files should shine light on USAG practices in this regard...
I find this very disturbing if true...thoughts??

So I just saw the May meeting minutes for JO on the usag site and two interesting things popped up.
1. Proposing to change JO national qualification score to 35. Also looks like they are going to start using number of qualified gymnasts in a region to fill spots rather than last years...
There are some great photos there and I'd like to order some prints. I can see how to create an account and select favorites, but it's not clear if and how prints can be ordered.
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks (and if this is in the wrong forum I'm sorry and please feel free to move it. :-)
Can some of you explain the tops/hopes program to me? I thought it was sort if like a "supplement" that is used in conjunction with usag, for young gymnast who seem to be talented, but after reading the other thread regarding the system, I'm thoroughly confused! :)
