Hey :)

Just need a bit of advice really, I'm having a few issues with my cartwheel on beam, I have done it a few times but other times i just freeze in handstand, or if i do go into the cartwheel i chicken out and miss the beam.

Any tips would be appreciated :)
Thanks

This comes from my gymnast DD::)

"While you are in handstand, try to look for the other end of the beam. That helps you see where your first foot has to land."

Hope this helps!

My dd had a problem with skill in level 5. It helped for her to do a lot of cartwheels on the floor first, before doing them on the beam. I hope this helps.

Make sure you are levering into and out of the cartwheel in a very controlled way. Cartwheels on beam are all about using your muscles to control your movement, not just using momentum (speed). Look under your arm (not over/around!) to watch your first foot come down. Land balanced on that first foot and lever up into your lunge.
