Women Different scoring in different states

MD is a pretty notoriously tough scoring state. I believe CA is regarded as pretty tough as well while Texas is probably the prime example of a huge scoring state (or maybe the gymnasts are just that much better).

Yeah, Minnesota always has low scores--I watch some routines posted here and am amazed at the high scores they get. Our girls score better when we travel to Chicago and Florida. And a few years back when we went to a meet in Texas, their scores were really high (my daughter who usually scores low 9/upper 8s on vault, got a 9.8!).
