It was a great one:) She did so good and I am so proud of her.
After finishing last year with her best all around score at state of 33.85
Emily scored today......................... DING DING................................

37.05 in the All Around and 1st place for 8 year olds

And the highest All Around score for our entire team and the other 3 teams as well.

I am so proud of her.

Her highlights include:
Vault: 8.9 I thought it was better than 8.9 but hey, I am not the judge
She got 7th place for this

Bars: 9.35 highest bar score of the day and 1st place for 8 year old

Beam: 9.5 highest beam score of the day and 1st place for 8 year old

Floor Ex: 9.3 second place for Floor Ex

I put up her videos today at my youtube:)

Wow! What a great start to the season. No trouble with that move up score this year.

Thank you everyone:) Nope She already qualified herself an invite to level 5 next year. Other team moms from competitor teams were asking why she wasn't a level 5 and if she was going to move up after this meet. They looked disappointed when I said no... She will most likely be competing 4 all year since it is a little late to move up to 5. I got a lot of people coming up to me saying she kicked some butt and was doing so awesome. It made me feel good and other parents who came up to me saying they loved watching her tonight:) That made me feel good too and so proud of her.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
