I've been seeing a lot of threads mentioning the ins & outs of qualifying for regionals as an event specialist & it seems to be different everywhere. I'm in region 3. Does anybody know when it is too late to declare event specialty due to injury? Is it even possible to do this at level 7?
I guess I should back up a little & explain what's going on. I've been having a lot of dizziness, balance issues, & some shortness of breath along with a few other symptoms. I'm seeing doctors & they're doing testing etc. I already had a brain MRI & everything was fine. They also found that I'm anemic. So, they think it's anemia with an inner ear thing. Anyway, dizziness & gymnastics don't mix. I have no idea where I am on my tumbling & after my low bar routine, I can't even get to the high bar. Would this even be considered an injury for petitioning purposes?
If it's applicable to level 7, what is the qualifying score? State is next weekend and I'm really stressing out!
